The “Rusty Doubloon”

I’ve been having some time off, and during holidays most people like to drink, well I’m no different to anyone else in that except that I like to experiment with new ideas to combine interesting ingredients.

Thus today was the birth of the “Rusty Doubloon”

Its a slightly rougher drink for the discerning pirate captain / shipmate or wench but it goes down smooth and will send you overboard!

Ok to make the “Rusty Doubloon” is easy all you need is the following 3 ingredients:

1. 30ml of a good Dark Rum (I’d suggest Inner Circle Rum)
2. 40ml of Lime Juice Cordial
3. Top with Soda Water

Once in the glass add ice and muddle (mix for you non-barteneder types) then DRINK!

The initial taste might be a bit strange (rum and lime juice is quite a different) but you’ll soon see that the “Rusty Doubloon” is a drink for any discerning person.

WARNING: You may just need 1 of these as it appears that the way the rum and lime juice cordial interacts aids the absorbsion of the drink!
