Miley Cyrus = ABSOLUTE MEGA FAIL
January 17th, 2010 | Posted By: Tim | Filed under: Music |EDIT: This has been found to be a fake video, that said its still bloody funny…
Normally I wouldn’t go so far to comment on music thats not of my preferred genre.
But this isn’t a normal situation.
Above is a video of Miley Cyrus on the Today Show (USA), after the brief introduction by the announcer begins the pain.
Miley is usually noted to have lilting lyrics with a pop edge to market to the “tweenies”, this video, if you have’t seen it already, shows Miley singing in the rawest form ever…
Directly through the soundboard output. Thats right, this is BEFORE the audio processing sound decks or pitch correcting devices have been employed.
Once again we see that in America dreams really do come true. Even if you are a talentless hack riding the coat tails of successes of your parents 20 years ago.
Thumbs up to Disney though on this one, they must have had an amazing audio engineering team working on Miley’s audio from the first day on Hannah Montana. Give yourselves a pat on the back, you deserve to win an award for correcting this horrendous voice.

Epic… truly epic… and they cheered at the end! Geeze…
Did the Today show broadcast the wrong audio track? Were the fans hearing the processed voice? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M11SvDtPBhA
I’ve tried to verify, but I’m pretty sure that the screaming and cheering at the end is a tell-tale sign that they were hearing a processed voice, or perhaps just the timed CD in the background.
I’d say that someone has plugged a recording device directly to the sound mixer and recorded the raw feed from her mic.
That was wrong on so many levels, but justified.
This is fake. The digital pitch-bend is patently obvious.
Yeah we all know its fake, but at the time of posting it wasn’t clear if it was or not.
I’ve updated the post to reflect this…
