iPhone Wifi Fix!

Well I’m not exactly sure how she did it, but my girlfriend managed to find the fix for a major Wifi issue with the iPhone 3G.
For the problem I was having, read here: iPhone 3G you suck…
Now I know a lot of people are plagued with this exact issue, now you might want to backup your phone first, but here’s how to do it:
- Add a passcode lock to your iPhone (Settings > General > Passcode Lock)
- Once you have set a lock, make sure you set the “Erase Data” to ON
- Now for the crazy bit, Lock your phone and put in the password wrong 10 times. Thats right, lock it out and force it to delete all info.
- Once your phone has formatted itself, plug it into iTunes and either update or restore the iPhone.
- Restart your iPhone
- Voilà ! You have fixed your Wifi (probably)
Now this isn’t a hard and fast rule, but its managed to resurrect my iPhone’s Wifi and its fairly stable, although it does still drop out a little like any normal iPhone.
The credit goes totally to my girlfriend though, without her accidentally locking and wiping the phone I wouldn’t have Wifi now!
